NEW FOR 2026 bsps AREA 3a sHOWING yOUTH pROGRAMME

BSPS Area 3A are proud to launch our "Showing Youth Programme". The training scheme is available for 3A members aged 8 to 25 years who want to gain knowledge of showing ponies whilst making friends and enjoying our calendar of events. Members do not need to have a pony to join.

The first of it's kind, the 3A Showing Youth Programme aims to educate, develop and nurture our next generation with the intention of producing future owners, riders, judges and producers with fantastic grounding on what is required. This is vital for the future of showing.

Topics will include: Breed types, Conformation, Way of going, Manners, Show preparation, Classes of pony, History of the society, History of breeding, Breeding section, Pony health and nutrition and of course Judging training with the Young Judge final to be held at the BSPS Summer Championship show for those who make the team.

Within the programme there is a points system which will reward attendance, attitude to learning & dedication. Points will be collated and awards will be given at the Annual Lunch (points party)

Members must sign up to the 2026 programme before the end of 2025 and at the first youth programme event they will receive a Youth Programme Handbook & Calendar of Events.
